I'm the Founder and Executive Chairman of Propeller Industries, an embedded finance and accounting partner to some of the most iconic venture and growth-stage companies of the last two decades. Since founding Propeller in 2008, we've scaled the firm to 250 people across three continents, serving more than 1,400 companies that have collectively raised over $20B and produced $80B in enterprise value, including 22 unicorns and publicly traded companies like Hims & Hers, Planet Labs, and Braze, as well as dozens of nine-figure brands such as Liquid Death, Olipop, Gruns, Away, The Farmer's Dog, BetterUp, and Solana. Propeller pioneered the embedded finance team model, transforming the way startups navigate the professionalization of their finance function over time. Today we operate inside over 300 exceptional companies—where CFOs, controllers, and analysts partner directly with founders from their earliest hires through $300M+ in revenue. Our proximity and duration has given us an unusually deep level of pattern recognition into what financial infrastructure, metrics, and decision frameworks actually drive outcomes at each stage of growth. Today, I'm focused on a second transformation: leveraging AI to codify this institutional knowledge into intelligent systems. We're building a hybrid intelligence model that combines human judgment, 18 years of proprietary financial data, and predictive intelligence to deliver enterprise-grade foresight and automation to emerging companies from day one. The goal isn't to replace human expertise with AI, but to amplify it—turning privileged first-party data and operational context into competitive advantage and transforming the CFO role from strategic operator to technology-enabled orchestrator of foresight and execution. In parallel, I lead Propeller's investment initiatives through Propeller Ventures and a series of SPVs, backing founders at the intersection of technology, modern commerce, and financial infrastructure. We invest where pattern recognition meets conviction—our embedded vantage point across companies gives us unique insight into what separates signal from noise in early-stage businesses.
