Philip Hoare

Philip Hoare, Group Chief Executive of Balfour Beatty, is a Chartered Civil Engineer with three decades of leadership in engineering and construction. Prior to joining Balfour Beatty, he was the CEO of AtkinsRéalis in the UK and Europe, then as President of their global Engineering Services business and finally as Chief Operating Officer of the group. Philip is driven by a passion for people, productivity and inclusive cultures, and by the belief that engineering talent and technology can solve society’s greatest challenges. He has worked closely with UK Government on infrastructure and industrial strategy, and is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.
