I’m a learning and professional development leader with 15 years’ experience driving improved staff and leadership outcomes in education. At KIPP Public Charter Schools I’ve been consistently promoted and most recently directed strategy and programming for all seven Nashville schools. I’m known for pushing forward effective change, building and developing a strong talent pipeline for leadership roles, and creatively problem-solving during difficult times. As a key advisor to national leadership, I am trusted to deliver training and learning programs that enable staff to meet enterprise-wide goals. As a leader I’m calm and conscientious. I thrive when managing people directly and owning the outcomes. KEY LEADERSHIP HIGHLIGHTS• Redesigned leadership development program to enable learning in context of the role, increase diversity, and build talent development pipeline. Scaled program to train multiple people in a multi-year process. o Of nine program participants, three assumed leadership roles, two are awaiting placement, and three are in year two of the program. Seven are POC. o Created a strong cohort of leaders who know and support each other across schools. • Created professional development programming model for seven schools, 300 staff and leaders, and onboarding for 80 new staff. • Retained four leaders and increased staff retention from 60% to 70% in a complex and competitive environment, from 2017 – 2021. • In two years, grew academic team from 4 to 10 members.
