VP of Communications at SafetyWing (YC W18) | Keynote Speaker | Angel Investor
London, England, United Kingdom
My work happens at the intersection of technology, business, policy and human behaviour. I was an early adopter of remote work and have lived as a digital nomad since 2013.
I’m currently VP of Communications at SafetyWing (Y Combinator 2018), an all-remote company of 150+ people across 60+ countries and 24+ timezones. So far, we’ve raised $50 million in venture capital toward our mission of building a global social safety net and country on the internet.
I’m also Executive Director of Plumia, SafetyWing’s global mobility think tank, where I am developing a new multi-country visa for nomad travel in collaboration with governments around the world. Our long-term goal is to launch a nomad passport, accepted at borders worldwide and available regardless of a person’s birthplace.
I offer expert talks on the future of work, talent mobility, citizenship, innovation, globalization, and other topics via The Next Speaker agency. My appearances include the United Nations, Tech Beach Retreat, 42Geeks, London’s Battle of Ideas, The Next Web, and Skift Global Forum. I’ve also published with leading media titles such as Wired, TIME, The Guardian, the BBC, and NPR.
As an investor, I’m interested in products and services that facilitate remote work and nomadic lifestyles. If you’re a founder working on an ambitious idea within the nomad ecosystem, I’d love to hear from you.
