Trainer/Local Coordinator/Facilitator
Child Rescue and Survival Project
Sep 2007 - Nov 2011 (4 years 3 months)
This was a time many multinational NGOs battled malaria, polio, cerebral meningitis, and other diseases in Nigeria. I was at the frontline building and implementing strategies in collaboration with local NGOs. One of the iconic strategies we developed that eventually liberated Enugu State from poliomyelitis, measles and most other immunizable diseases is the Child-to-Child Communication strategy where we trained young people to train others and their parents on immunization, use of insecticide-treated nets and other preventive mechanisms. I played different roles as were necessary to achieve goals in the field.
