Since November 2020, I have worked as a Medical Interpreter, facilitating clear and accurate communication between healthcare providers and Spanish-speaking patients in fast-paced medical environments. Through this experience, I have become highly familiar with healthcare administrative and insurance-related processes, including insurance verification, prior authorizations, referrals to specialists, copays, prescription coordination, appointment scheduling, and patient follow-up
procedures. My role requires a high level of attention to detail, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate complex medical information clearly and accurately. Working directly with patients, doctors, nurses, and insurance representatives has strengthened my ability to manage sensitive situations efficiently while ensuring patients fully understand their care plans and healthcare
options. In addition, I am HIPAA certified, which reinforces my understanding of patient privacy regulations and the proper handling of protected health information. I consistently apply these standards in my daily work to ensure full compliance and the highest level of confidentiality.Beyond my healthcare experience, I have also participated in AI training projects involving models such as ChatGPT and Gemini, focusing on language accuracy, contextual understanding, translation quality, and natural communication in both English and Spanish. This work further strengthened my analytical skills, linguistic precision, and ability to identify nuanced communication and interpretation issues.I also hold a Licentiate degree in Physiotherapy from Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, which provided me with a strong academic foundation in health sciences and medical terminology. My combined experience in healthcare communication, insurance processes, patient interaction, HIPAA compliance, and AI language training allows me to adapt quickly and contribute effectively in detail-oriented and patient-focused environments.
