Aaron is the VP of Medical for Clinical Research and the program's co-founder at Carbon Health. Carbon for Research is a comprehensive, streamlined, & integrated national clinical trial program embedded in a national health system to improve the speed, quality, and diversity of clinical trials and with the goal of making sure the future of medicine works well for all. Aaron also held the position of Medical Director of Program Development and National Medical Director of Clinical Research at Carbon Health.
Aaron is triple board certified in Internal, Pulmonary, and Critical Care medicine. He previously served as the co-director of venous thromboembolic disease and research, and assistant professor of medicine at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles. He continues to hold hospital staff privileges and care for patients at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
Before starting his medical career he received a masters degree in international relations from Cambridge University in the U.K. where he studied pandemics as international security threats. His current academic interests revolve around healthcare policy and delivery, clinical research execution, and a passion to improve quality healthcare delivery and access across this nation. His work centers around making clinical research an important integrated and streamlined care offering to ensure that future therapeutics work better for all.
Aaron is highly experienced in building comprehensive clinical trial operations, SOPs, execution/integration across a national health system, protocol & manuscript development, seasoned PI, and had strong communication skills and relationships in the life science space for business development, partnerships, & growth.
