Santiago Andres Duque Moreno  new_releases

Tech Lead & Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years building scalable cloud systems in fintech. I specialize in AWS serverless and event-driven architectures, with deep experience in Python, TypeScript, and Domain Driven Design.

Currently leading a technical team at Bold, a Colombian fintech, where I drive architectural decisions for our merchant cash advance product, mentor engineers, and represent engineering in cross-functional discussions.

Selected achievements over the past 5 years:

→ Designed and led a critical product feature in 2 months, shipping with
zero defects through deliberate architectural decisions around balance
reconciliation and database write optimization.

→ Cut monthly AWS infrastructure costs by 20% through systematic Lambda
right-sizing across the service fleet.

→ Reduced recurrent production errors by 60% via systematic root cause
analysis, decreasing operational alerts by 80%.

I'm currently working towards AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification and finishing my Systems Engineering degree at UNIR (December 2026). I'm also exploring cloud security architecture and practical AI tooling for engineering productivity.

Open to remote opportunities in Senior Engineering, Tech Lead, and Staff Engineer roles. Particularly interested in fintech, cloud infrastructure, and security-focused engineering. Available to work from Colombia.
