I graduated in Computer Science in 1982 and worked first for Prime Computers and then for Digital. Whilst at Digital I worked mostly in low level software in bridges and routers. I then moved into Digital Semiconductor and worked first on the Alpha Processor and then
on StrongARM. That was when I met Linus and became involved in Linux.
I moved to ARM in 1998 where I was involved in tools, at one time running engineering in the toolchain division. I was made an ARM Fellow for my open source work and was instrumental in the Foundation of Linaro, an open source consortium dedicated to Linux on ARM. I am Linaro's CTO, the best job in the world.
