As a life-long learner and avid software engineer with 15 years of professional experience, my software journey began in elementary school using my grandfather’s Commodore 64. In middle school, I learned Visual Basic and HTML. My high school years were filled with learning .NET, JavaScript and CSS while building Windows Forms apps and designing web sites. Then I expanded my knowledge at Kent State earning a Computer Science degree with 2 minors.
Professionally, I have worked at companies from startups to global enterprises, working as a continuous learner, thoughtful leader and software generalist. I collaboratively deliver backend services and scaling up our engineering excellence, whether it’s with language or framework expertise to improving operations.
I’m always looking for the next challenge to come my way to always do better and help others along the way. For me personally, I’m excited to expand my knowledge by learning both Rust and Go while contributing on Stack Overflow.
