Stephen is the COO of Scholars of Finance (SOF), a quickly growing non-profit start-up aiming to change the world by helping future leaders of finance build character and integrity to steward the world’s capital for good. SOF brings together leading investors and finance executives to teach undergraduate students how they can make an impact through finance and investing.
Stephen believes that a world led by such ethical leaders will create macroeconomic stability for families across the globe. As a father of two young children, Stephen is committed to working diligently toward a world where they and their peers can enjoy life to the fullest while contributing to society and avoiding the family-breaking turmoil that systematic economic failure can cause.
Prior to SOF, Stephen was a VP at U.S. Bank where he was a proud member of one of the most ethical banks in the world. Before U.S. Bank, Stephen was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army’s Chaplain Corps while earning a Master of Divinity from Bethel University.
His hobbies include anything family-related, woodworking, and electric guitar. He also enjoys improving his understanding of leadership through study and dialectic.
