Jonathan Spruance

Senior software engineer specializing in applied AI systems, with experience across backend and full-stack development. Recent work includes LLM integration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search, and agent-based reasoning systems for enterprise applications. I’ve designed and deployed production AI architectures using Python and FastAPI, as well as Typescript / NodeJS, supporting real-time workflows in regulated legal and HR environments. I’m the creator of Open ME/CFS, an open-source biomedical research platform applying RAG and transformer-based summarization to scientific research. My earlier work in distributed systems and cloud platforms continues to inform my approach to building reliable, scalable AI infrastructure.
