    While we can create systems to address information needs, information behaviors are still influenced by society in subtle and invisible ways that expand beyond the current environment we are working within. Understanding these influences and patterns of behavior requires engaging the world around individuals and embracing the chaos of information behavior in a world of ingrained systematic oppression and "wicked" problems. Using "Uzumaki" as a case study, I explore how the characters' ways of being sheds light on destructive cycles of information behavior shaped by themes of apathy, isolation, and obsession, which determine the inevitable cascading events that consume them.
