    Operational Firefighter based in the South Auckland Command, attending fire, rescue, medical and hazardous materials emergencies. I was fortunate to work with this incredible bunch of dedicated professionals. I had the privilege of being assigned to Manukau 308, the busiest Heavy Rescue Tender in NZ. During this time, I earned a commendation for my conduct in the high-profile Manukau Petrol Tanker incident. I progressed through all operator and rank exams, reaching Station Officer level. I was selected to form part of the LDBA team, which would become the NZ Urban Search and Rescue team. I also won Gold at the World Firefighter games with the coxed fours (rowing).
