Some of the features that help with bookkeeping include financial reporting, core accounting, budgeting and forecasting. • Took part in rewriting ZipBooks API from PHP/Laravel to Elixir/Phoenix. Saved on CPU costs by around 30%. • Built out the ability to do file imports and process different financial transactions from those files. These included but not limited to calculating expenses, categorizing transactions as well as getting owners equity. • Built reporting and invoicing features to enable businesses to do better budgeting and forecasting. • Leveraged MySQL as our primary database, writing optimized query logic for efficient processing of various financial data.
