Hi, I’m Chayanika Sinha, a senior at the University of Maryland majoring in Computer Science with minors in Astronomy and Data Science. I’m passionate about technology and curious about the possibilities it creates in the world. My special areas of interest include full-stack development (JavaScript, Python) and the exciting field of AI and machine learning, with a focus on natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs).So far, I’ve had the opportunity to intern at companies like AWS, MITRE and Wikipedia and gain hands on software engineering experience. On campus, I tutor fellow students through the Iribe Initiative and run a one-credit course on Ethics in Computer Science. In the past, I’ve also been a teaching assistant for Data Structures in Java. I’m also affiliated with organizations like Break Through Tech, Rewriting the Code, and I attended the Grace Hopper Conference (GHC) in fall 2024 and Tapia Conference in 2025. When I’m not coding, you can find me playing the guitar or stargazing or dreaming up future startup ideas. Let’s connect and explore how we can work together!
