I am an accomplished and highly experienced translation and interpreting professional with an excellent education, a strong background in serving as an interpreter for high level government events and conferences, and outstanding communication, problem solving, and analytical abilities. I am passionate about continuous improvement and am always interested in tackling new projects. I became one of the first interpreters in Paraguay some 25 years ago. Teaching, translating, and interpreting encompass a life of hard work and perseverance. A bookworm from a young age, I was drawn to interpreting because it allowed me to put my obsession with words and meaning to good use. To most people, researching, reading and listening is boring but to me, it’s fun. As a top-tier translator, I’ve had the pleasure to interpret for some of the world’s most influential people and organizations such as Mr. Ban Kim Moon, former Secretary General UN, presidents and countries ‘delegations. Interpreting and translating give me the opportunity to learn about new, current issues or developments worldwide across a wide array of subjects, cultural, social or financial. It is a responsibility I take very seriously that of transferring the messages in the most clear and truthful way possible. It is the people’s fluent exchange of ideas and communication that show me that my job has been achieved, I can see it in their eyes and smiles, at the end of one long day of work. Some areas in which I could share my experience are health, finances, gender, environment, education, safety and security regulations, contracts, negotiations, government and NGO’s and industries. Working in these intense environments makes me especially compassionate to the incredible minds working on these tough problems. That is why I make it my mission to make the process of communicating their message to others as stress-free as possible. As such, I’m extremely disciplined with my punctuality, reliability and professionalism. I do not need a contract to understand the scope of confidentiality; the final contract is just a mere accreditation that without confidentiality, this job could not be done and neither could trust be built. In addition to my career, I also enjoy tutoring young adults to help them earn scholarships so they can attend graduate and postgraduate studies abroad in Canada, the US, Holland, Germany, the UK and elsewhere. I am convinced that a country without education is a country that is ill. I believe in opportunities and every student achieving a scholarship, is a world of hope.
