Anne Hess

I’ve spent the past decade immersed in the heart of Kirkland—first as the Founder of Greet Kirkland, a community focused magazine, and as volunteer, then a board member of several local non-profit community organizations, and ultimately as Executive Director of the Kirkland Downtown Association. From community beautification to beloved local events like the Farmers Market and Winterfest, my work has always centered around connection, collaboration, and community pride.

I’m also the editor of Greet Kirkland, focused on amplifying neighborhood stories, supporting local businesses, and celebrating the people who make this city so special.

Recently retired from my role at KDA, I’m continuing to support community-focused efforts, now with a bit more time for travel, family, and new creative pursuits.

I was honored to be featured in 425 Business—a meaningful acknowledgment of my work in civic engagement and nonprofit leadership.
