Staff Wireless Systems Engineer (CTO Group)
California, United States
Wireless systems engineer and researcher with 8+ years bridging cutting-edge research and real-world deployment.
My work sits at the intersection of satellite communications, 5G non-terrestrial networks (NTN), and positioning systems with a focus on the places traditional infrastructure can't reach.
Author and co-author of 15+ peer-reviewed papers and patents spanning NTN, underwater communications, and PNT in GNSS-denied environments.
What drives me:
Connecting the unconnected: Extending reliable comms to underwater environments (acoustic comms) and remote regions via satellite-based architectures.
Navigating the unknown: Exploring alternative PNT in GNSS-denied environments, including tracking briefly surfacing marine animals (sometimes my favorite whales).
Real-world impact: Turning hands-on research into shipped systems that move the industry forward.
Science communication: Breaking down complex research into accessible concepts and actively engaging with academic communities.
Currently part of the team at Skylo Tech. Always open to conversations on satellite/NTN, underwater comms, alternative PNT, AI/ML in comms, and the future of ubiquitous connectivity.
Looking for opportunities to collaborate with academic/research institutions.
