Implementation of an original server-client Quiz application on DE2i-150 and Nios II
    Sep 2017 - Dec 2017 (4 months)
Project was implemented using the Triple Speed Ethernet IP Core on the Altera's DE2i 150 board. Initial implementation is to build a Nios II hardware system using the Qsys tool and then follows the software program development which runs on this Nios II system and interfaces with the Marvell 88E111 Ethernet PHY chip and other components of the board. The project is a Client Server model with end user application being a simple quiz. This application resembles the key aspects of the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) over TCP at the application layer and the ethernet is made use of at the data link layer. The system consists of two De2i 150 boards and two host systems (one for client, other for server) and the two boards communica

Real time Face Recognition and Remote Access
    Aug 2016 - May 2017 (10 months)
The aim of the project was to develop a system which can extract and store important facial features from a set of given images using various advanced face recognition algorithms, along with the information of the person in the picture. After which the system is fed a live video stream from a camera and it runs its face recognition algorithms on the video and alerts the control center if a match is found and gives details of the person that is matched. This eases in tracking of any person by obtaining the location of the camera in which the person was recognized and that details can be monitored and logged to keep a record of movements of an individual
