Digital Marketing & Communications Manager

For the past 15 years of my career I’ve spent relentlessly honing and focusing on my Branding & Storytelling skills. I'm a well versed, passionate and creative marketing specialist with an act for thinking outside the box, creating partnerships with a purpose, and always striving for significant outcomes. I have gained a wealth of knowledge from the companies I have represented that allowed me to wear many hats in different industries. Not only have i diversified my capabilities and experience, my contributions have helped generate millions in revenue growth and media impressions for organizations.
I've worked on brand strategy, product launches, special events, publicity, digital/social media marketing, strategic partnerships/collaborations and philanthropy for some of SA's most recognized brands, radio and media entertainment, corporate retail, executive education just to name a few. Most which became my greatest achievements. At 21 years old I worked for Jacaranda FM which is one of SA’s most successful independent radio stations, launching Jacaranda FM Office Busters, Jacaranda Winter Warmer, co-managing Sisters with Blisters and Jacaranda 94.2 & Danao’s The Love Boat in 2007. This was the start of my epic marketing career.
Being young and curious I moved on my next adventure which was The Gordon Institute of Business Science ( Sandton) for a brief period ( Find my job spec in my resume for this).
Thereafter I returned to Media and Entertainment at MPower FM ( Now known as Rise FM after the ‘take-over’ by Times Media Group) the first and only commercial radio station in Mpumalanga, this is where the landmark of my triumph in overall Marketing begun. It was a young station barely months old, I saw an opportunity to make it a great one. My moments of triumph during my tenure include; restructuring and building of the Radio’s Website, the production and launch of : Take a Step for Children. Production and launch of Mpower FM’s Dare to Care. Design and implementation of Mpower FM’s first and very own news Mic for Television broadcasting for our brand visibility nationally. My most favourite achievement was my Trade exchange/ B2B agreement with AutoTec that gave birth a MPowerFM’s very first new born, the outside broadcasting van (OB Van) together with it’s beautiful graphics in overall car-wrap branding. I viewed this as a success. MpowerFM’s Takeover, things became slow and company changes that affected employees became inevitable. I was expecting my 2nd born.
I then partnered with Emalahleni FM (Witbank) remotely after being asked by a former colleague to build a Marketing Department.
I then took up a half year collaboration immediately after relocating to Cape Town with Deloitte and Touche where I headed The Western Cape Funding Fair.
Before it all:
When I was 19 starting a business seemed so effortless from the outside, so I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey that changed my entire perspective about what I thought I knew about building a brand especially with lack of funding and resources. Without hesitation, I made a decision to rather focus my skills and experience in what I am extremely good at to help Start Ups, small and established companies to scale and launch their businesses by utilizing B2B, Content and digital Marketing, Lead Generation, marketing print, broadcast advertising and strategic SEO.
Right now, based The Foschini Group marketing, I head up internal communications for atleast 30 key stakeholders from different departments, using story telling as a narrative while building relationships that improve internal comms within the group. (See my job spec in my resume).
