The app forwards all DNS requests to Core Server (our Domain Name Server) which is located on AWS and GCP cloud platforms. Core server decides whether return the real IP address of the domain names based on the customer company's policy setting. DNSP Agent also communicates to Webroot web APIs for the software license and upgrade processes using HTTPS. DNSP Agent uses VC++, C#, WinSock, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTPS, DNS over HTTPS (DoH), Windows Service, ATL, COM, WMI, etc. technologies. DNSP Agent was initially released in early 2018.
