Helping individuals go from surviving to thriving is my passion. I feel lucky to have supported thousands of people in achieving their health and wellness goals over the last 20 years.After defending my doctoral dissertation in 2007 - a randomized controlled trial examining relapse prevention programs for the treatment of obesity - I returned to my undergraduate alma mater, Duke University, to complete a clinical internship where I rotated through Structure House, a residential treatment center for obesity. At Structure House, I went from intern to post-doc to staff psychologist from 2008 to 2016, and then I was called back in 2019 to be the Chief Executive Officer.My tenure as CEO has provided me with exciting opportunities to grow my expertise in marketing, business development, admissions, expense management, clinical program development, and workplace culture.Finally, it has always been essential to me that I continue to develop and hone my clinical skills as a psychologist; to that end, I have maintained a small caseload to stay close and connected to my client base.
