I’m Vanessa Kruze, founder and CEO of Kruze Consulting: an accounting and finance partner for venture-backed startups navigating growth, fundraising, and everything in between. We’ve worked with thousands of early-stage companies and have been named to the Inc. 5000 six years running. Our team combines deep startup experience with operational clarity, helping founders stay focused while we handle the back office. What We Do (and Why) Kruze Consulting supports funded startups with a full range of accounting, tax, finance, and HR services. That includes everything from monthly bookkeeping to R&D tax credits to investor-ready financial modeling. We’ve helped our clients raise billions in venture funding and close acquisitions with companies like Apple, Cisco, JP Morgan, and Merck. How I Got Here I started Kruze during my first year of business school, picking up freelance bookkeeping gigs on Craigslist to cover my bills. I didn’t have formal experience, so I charged $15 an hour and worked for free when I needed to learn something new. Those early clients trusted me because I showed up, stayed late, and kept fixing things until they were right. That mindset still shapes how we operate today: with humility, follow-through, and a deep respect for the founder’s job.
