    This consumer behaviour based Business Research Project, investigated 'the factors that influence French consumer's luxury consumption habits.' In addition to conducting an extensive theoretical review, I carried out primary data collection and analysis. My findings pointed towards personal motivators including: quality and aesthetics to have a more significant influence on consumer rationale for purchasing luxury goods, over social motivators i.e. conspicuous consumption and status related benefits. Status related benefits of luxury further decreased in importance as income and age increased.
