I’m a software engineering leader and CTO at Archera, where I work at the intersection of technology, product, and user experience.
Over the past six years at Archera, I’ve grown from software engineer to tech lead, engineering manager, and now CTO. Along the way, I’ve helped build and evolve the company’s customer-facing application, led engineering teams, partnered closely with product and design, and worked across the stack, from data modeling and APIs to frontend architecture and UI/UX.
I’m particularly interested in complex problem spaces where understanding the user is just as important as understanding the technology. At Archera, that has included building tools for cloud financial operations, including sophisticated forecasting and modeling capabilities. I’ve also led major technical initiatives, including a complete rewrite of our application in TypeScript, while building and mentoring a team of engineers.
Before Archera, I worked as an R&D Engineer at AgroFresh, where I designed and built an IoT system for remotely applying and monitoring food-safe fungicides in fruit storage facilities. The system combined custom sensors and controls with software that allowed employees to manage operations across multiple warehouses and locations.
That experience shaped the way I approach engineering today. My background spans software engineering, IoT, agricultural R&D, cloud financial operations, and user research. I’m comfortable moving between technical architecture, product decisions, and the details of implementation, and I enjoy bringing those perspectives together to solve difficult problems.
I’m motivated by learning, building things that matter, and working with people who challenge me to think differently. I’m especially interested in the kinds of problems that don’t have an obvious solution and require a combination of technical depth, product thinking, and experimentation.
Outside of work, I enjoy camping and spending time outdoors. If I ever have a spare garage again, I’d like to get back to woodworking and CNC machining.
