AlgoSharing was a service that aimed to make the fruits of academia more accessible to the industry by creating a marketplace for algorithms researched and developed by academics. The service allowed academics to upload algorithms implemented in practically any programming language and collaborate on them in the cloud. It provided anyone with the ability to test and tweak the algorithm to find the optimal solution for his or her needs. It used a multi-cloud, micro-services, architecture, and supported continuous deployment, and configuration management.
