👋🏼 Hi, I'm D'nika. I'm a global recruiter connecting exceptional talent with hypergrowth companies across the GCC.
My path here was anything but conventional. Three continents, four careers, and one very unexpected road into recruitment.
I started out in corporate South Africa as an Executive Assistant to the CEO of a scale-up. A front-row seat to how a business actually operates, how decisions get made, where teams thrive and where they quietly fall apart. It turned out to be the best foundation I could have asked for. I just didn't know it yet.
Curiosity then took me to Hanoi, Vietnam, where I spent four years teaching English to over 2,000 students. Living and working inside a culture so different from my own rewired how I listen, how I communicate, and how I read people. That skill, more than anything else, is what I carry into every conversation I have today.
During Covid, I started teaching Business English to HR and recruitment professionals. That's where everything clicked. I found my way into talent acquisition, returned to South Africa, and spent the next few years partnering with companies across Europe and the US to scale their tech and digital teams. Eventually that road led me to Dubai, where I've been building ever since.
What I bring to every search is perspective from both sides. I've sat close enough to leadership to understand what a business actually needs, and I've worked with enough people to know that the right role at the right moment can completely change the trajectory of someone's career.
That's what drives me to get the match right.
