Antonio Verga

Antonio Verga has been an ESA's staff from October 1988 until May 2021. He was the Head of the non-ISS Microgravity Platforms Office, at ESTEC, in the Directorate of Human & Robotic Exploration Programmes, has promoted and led over 200 science experiments in weightlessness, and managed the Sounding Rocket programmes, MAXUS, MASER, and TEXUS. He was the Executive Secretary of the Advisory Committee to ESRANGE and Andǿya European launch ranges. A.Verga participated in 2 SPACELAB missions with NASA, 5 FOTON flights and 2 BION projects with ROSKOSMOS, 8 European Sounding Rocket and 5 parabolic flight campaigns with ESA and CSA. He also completed a project for microgravity research flown on the Chinese spacecraft SHI JAN-10 in 2016. He is a referee for SPIE and AIAA.
