Across the provinces, and especially in Canada’s major cities, many individuals and families struggle to access affordable housing. There has also been a great deal of attention devoted to Ontario’s post-secondary education sector due to its social and economic contributions. Academic Integrity: The Fool's Dilemma
    Jan 2015 - Jun 2016 (1 year 6 months)
Academic misconduct amongst students is a consistent problem in education. Plagiarism, cheating in exams and increasingly the dangers of inappropriate on-line comments or behavior can have significant negative effects upon the student. Often the students are unaware or ill-informed of the impact or consequences of their actions until it is too late. How can we create a more effective method of educating students so that they will learn and internalize what is appropriate academic behaviour?

Plagiarism, cheating in exams and the dangers of inappropriate online comments or behaviours can have significant negative effects upon the student [1]. Academic misconduct is particularly important because there has been a drastic increase in cases all around the world in recent history [2]. The present study took a sample of 121 students from Humber College Lakeshore Campus, Toronto, Canada. This study was interested in exploring students’ knowledge of academic policy through testing; participants were split into two groups where one was exposed to written policy and the other to audio-visual policy.
