With over 15 years of experience in software engineering and management, I am a passionate and driven leader who strives to deliver innovative and impactful solutions. As the Director of Engineering at Quartzy, I oversaw the development and delivery of a cloud-based E-commerce platform and integrations ecosystem to support Quartzy's mission to empower scientists and researchers to achieve their goals and advance scientific discovery. In my last role, I led engineers across 4 distinct focus areas, leveraging agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines to improve the efficiency and productivity of the engineering team and the reliability of the platform. I worked closely with the Product Management and Quality Assurance teams to continually improve processes and systems and to follow through on aggressive quarterly product roadmap commitments. I have a strong background in financial services software, having managed multiple Agile development teams at Total Expert, where I successfully led the Engineering team through a period of significant growth from scrappy startup to an industry leader. I hold an MBA and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University.
