Hello :) Yash (www.yashagarwal.info) is a public policy professional with over seven years of experience across internet governance, technology policy, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, and development consulting. He is driven by a core belief in the transformative potential of sound policy as a force for good. Presently Yash serves as a Global Stakeholder Engagement manager at ICANN, where he serves as the primary interface between the organisation and government ministries, civil society, media, and community stakeholders across South Asia and Asia-Pacific. His work spans programme management, government outreach, community and technical ecosystem engagement, media engagement, and coordination of ICANN's partnerships in the region.Alongside ICANN, Yash is the founder of Public Policy India (PPI), India's largest policy and social impact community with over 150,000 members in India’s 20 largest cities. Now in its sixth year, PPI works across three pillars: capacity building, community engagement, and consulting services, with a single-minded mission of growing the entire ecosystem of public policy in India and helping thousands of young Indians build meaningful careers in this space.He is also a practitioner-educator, serving as adjunct, guest, or visiting faculty at more than 30 universities and institutions across the country, including IIT-Bombay, IIT-Chennai, IIM Sirmaur, St. Xavier’s Mumbai, TISS, Ashoka University, KREA university, Jamia, DU, Jindal Global University, among others. He also serves on boards of studies, advising on curriculum design and pedagogy.Prior to ICANN, Yash spent two years at Twitter India and South Asia in a policy and partnerships role. Before that, he was an Associate Consultant at Chase Advisors, a public policy consulting firm based out of New Delhi. He began his career as a LAMP Fellow to a four-term State Cabinet Minister of Assam and current Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha). He has also worked with the Government of India, NIAS, Pratham, Teach For India, and BJP’s National Vice President Mr. Baijayant 'Jay' Panda, among others.Outside of work, Yash reads widely, plays tennis, travels, and explores the many unique experiences New Delhi has to offer!
