Over 22 years of Command and Control experience starting with the development of such programs as the Senior Leadership Travel Communications System ensuring Executive communications throughout the world; the Unified Command Structure – later renamed Joint Command and Control upon its acceptance by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the National Communications Systems Architecture enabling Continuity Of Operations, Continuity Of Government, and Enduring Constitutional Government. Expanding the concepts developed through these programs, such as Communities of Interest (COI), Dynamic COI, Portfolio Management. Working with our Government partners and clients in Washington DC, Quantico, VA, Charleston, SC, and now Honolulu, HI, we continue to develop information-centric solutions trusted and actionable information to Commanders. This includes rapid implementation of emerging technologies such as Open Source Software (OSS) and developing the first 4 operational Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) implementations and further exemplified in developing Department of Defense (DoD) policy and governance to institutionalize these advancements. The natural progression was then to developing large, complex, unstructured data search and discovery technologies and techniques for determining faster and more trusted methods of identifying technologies and their operational usages that potentially pose a threat to our National or Economic Security. These capabilities have evolved into addressing Cyber Security capability gaps currently affecting our National Security. Coupling the sciences in collecting, analysis, and representing “big” data with the human terrain knowledge gained through social media sciences has further enhanced our collective capabilities to properly identify the problems, ask the proper questions of the data and the supporting sciences, resulting in targeting, in a cost effective manner, the solutions required to mitigate the risks and resulting threats.
