At Packback, we believe education technology should change outcomes, rather than just score them..and that students shouldn’t have to fail in order to learn from mistakes. Packback changes outcomes by investing in all of the coachable moments before a student presses submit on their work. Packback’s purpose is to help every student develop their unique voice, and the writing skills to express it.

At DRW College Prep I was tasked with teaching both Chemistry and Physics to Sophomores and Juniors. Unsurprisingly, I discovered High Schoolers are just as hesitant to learn Physics as they are Chemistry. At Noble I was able to help my students make connections between what we were learning in the classroom, how it could help them build college and career-ready skills, and ultimately how to prepare them for their journeys beyond my usually-loud (in a joyous way!) classroom.
  • Indianapolis Public Schools
    Teacher
    Indianapolis Public Schools
    Aug 2014 - Jun 2016 (1 year 11 months)
During my time as a TNTP Indianapolis Teaching fellow, I taught general, honors, and AP chemistry to 9th - 12th grade students at Broad Ripple High School. I loved incorporating loud, bold experiments in my lessons to convince my students that chemistry could indeed be fun and totally worth the math. It was at Broad Ripple I developed a deep passion for utilizing technology to engage my somewhat reluctant chemistry students
  • TNTP Teaching Fellows
    Teaching Fellow
    TNTP Teaching Fellows
    Jun 2014 - Jun 2016 (2 years 1 month)
In my role as a teaching fellow I was mentored by some of the most impressive, empathetic, and impactful K-12 educators. This program supported my transition from graduation to classroom, built confidence in my assessment and classroom management skills, and encouraged me to always think of the student first, a value I still live by today.
