I am a creative and engaged cross-functional leader with over a decade of of experience in collaborative, client-facing, and deadline-driven environments—and proven results in HR, revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and change management. I am passionate about process improvement and strategic growth, and have launched new ventures and led multi-year change management initiatives to fully restructure and streamline operations. Career highlights include: • Launched a mission-driven media platform focused on history, which is now fully self-sustaining and has brought together 60 institutions that would otherwise be siloed. • More than doubled revenue through process improvement, business development, and launching new revenue streams. • Conducted a survey of all North American cancer center directors to track the diversity of their leadership pipelines, identifying potential glass ceilings. This data analysis has been widely cited in equity initiatives by thought-leaders in healthcare. • Developed a fellowship program to support and train the next generation of science writers. • Led a cross-functional initiative to make The Cancer Letter accessible, resulting in 100% adherence to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA—beyond most other news publications. In addition to my management background, I am also an award-winning illustrator with 18 awards from the Society of Professional Journalists for editorial illustration, design, and editorial cartooning.
