Led commercial turnaround of a struggling $1BN business segment, with general management and P&L responsibility. Direct accountability for both sales and marketing/ business management. Dotted line responsibility for nine plants and segment R&D. Complex business mix, which consisted of 20 end market clusters, 1,500 products, 1,000 customers (including 19 of top 20 CPG companies in the US).
Reduced pace of business churn by 45% to stabilize business. Increased gross profits by 24% on flat volume, lapping volume and profit declines of >15%. Achieved cumulative $120M of new business awards, including the largest award in the history of the company.
