Mark Macdonald

I have more than fifteen years of start-up experience focused on building and scaling organizations from the ground up. I was hired as the first employee at Thuzio and GoLocal and have since held leadership roles across early to growth stage, venture-backed companies. As a founding employee at Luxury Presence, I built and led the People function, guiding the company from 10 employees and under $1M in ARR to more than 500 employees and $100M+ in ARR. My work has spanned across talent, HR, and GTM giving me a holistic perspective on how the puzzle comes together to scale high-growth companies effectively. Before my career in tech, I competed as a professional athlete. I’m a graduate of Brown University, where I captained the men’s basketball team to a school-record number of wins. Outside of work, I’m an active supporter of Experience Camps, a nonprofit serving grieving children. Across my career, I’ve helped build five start-ups—two of which achieved successful exits. I credit any success to one constant: exceptional people coming together to form resilient and ambitious teams. It's amazing what you can accomplish when no one cares who gets the credit. My focus remains on attracting, developing, and retaining top performers to drive meaningful growth.
