I love being in sales. No matter what the role, I have had a blast doing it. Here is the TL;DR for my sales career; residential inside sales rep → residential d2d sales rep → residential d2d sales manager → b2b sales rep → b2b sales manager → SaaS sales rep Regardless of what I was doing (or how glamorous or not the position), I not only had a good time, but I excelled. The salesperson in me wants to say my success is due to always taking a consultative approach, creating clear direction and being extremely goal oriented - and while that is likely true, I also have to wonder if people want to buy from people who are having fun and enjoying their work.
