Andrew Boyd

I’m the CEO of 1upHealth. I’ve spent the last 20+ years in tech, building and expanding growth-stage companies, launching new products and delivering value where it counts. Before 1up, I was EVP & GM at Personify Health, overseeing the health communications and payment integrity businesses. Prior to that, I served as EVP of Strategy and Corporate Development at Virgin Pulse leading value creation and business transformation initiatives. Early career included strategy, product, general management and commercial leadership roles in both the US and international markets. I hold a PhD in Information Systems and a couple of other degrees. Basically, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how technology and systems can actually make the world a better place. I believe in radical candor. I'm relentless in execution. I value simplicity, discipline and insatiable curiosity. When charm and diplomacy run out, I turn to my 20+ years of marital arts experience (with black belts in kickboxing and Krav Maga, and a brown belt in BJJ) and a wicked sense of humor to keep things on track. Outside of work, I love traveling and exploring the world (49 countries so far), surfing, biking and training on the mats.
