Torben Nielsen is the CEO and Co-Founder of VC-backed Uptiv Health, a tech-enabled infusion center transforming patient care with virtual chronic disease wrap-around services.
Throughout his career, Torben has been at the forefront of digital, multi-site retail, and tech-enabled healthcare innovation, with his work featured in books by Scott Galloway (Post Corona) and Kevin Pereau (It Takes A Village). He has led and implemented industry-leading, customer-focused solutions across startups, growth companies and global brands including LEGO, XEROX, and BlueCross BlueShield.
In 2012, he co-founded HealthSparq and grew it into the second-fastest-growing digital health company in the U.S. in 2016 (#196 on the Inc. 5000 list). It was acquired by Kyruus in 2021. Most recently, he led ZoomCare, building it into the largest primary and urgent care provider in the Pacific Northwest, serving 350,000+ patients annually across 60+ clinics, earning recognition as Executive of the Year in Portland, OR in 2021 (Portland Business Journal, 2021).
Torben holds an MBA from Oregon State University and an MA from The Aarhus School of Business, Denmark and is a frequent speaker and thought-leader in the healthcare industry.
