I lead global IT operations and infrastructure for a private-equity-backed international PV/CRO — 3,000+ users across 40 countries, grown from 1,200 in two years. Leading M&A from IT operations side.
Twenty years across different industries, including pharma/CRO, telecommunications, automotive manufacturing and mission critical infrastrucure, with hands-on ownership across the full stack: enterprise applications and ERP, infrastructure and cloud (public, privat, hybrid) , information security, in-house software development, data platforms, and data centre design and operation. I have held a full group CIO remit — strategy, budget, software development, operations and support across seven sites in four countries, with monthly management-board reporting — and run a 55-person, five-domain technical organisation at Croatia's largest telecom operator with 8-digit budgets.
M&A from the technology side.
Four acquisitions since 2024, each absorbed onto a single corporate landscape in three to twelve months with no transitional service agreements. Twenty-plus systems, eight Microsoft 365 tenants and ten-plus domains consolidated into one estate. Acquired entities lifted from SMB-grade onto a group enterpirse security baseline bringing uniform identity, data protection and audit readiness.
Operations that hold up under audit.
IT is in scope for the majority of 300+ client audits and regulatory inspections a year, with zero IT-attributable critical findings. GxP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2.
I have also taken an ISMS from zero to full-scope ISO 27001 certification in nine months, covering every corporate function across three sites.
Engineering and infrastructure at national scale.
Data centre estate consolidated to Tier 3 / EN 50600. Optimising Oracle landscape by migrating to x86 Oracle KVM. Network virtualisation (NSX-T), container platforms (Openshift and Openstack) and NFVi for core network functions.
Custom ERP build and an in-house Agile/Scrum team at group level; an EDI platform carrying 180+ logistics flows to OEM customers; Industry 4.0 and digitisation programmes delivered directly with plant and operations leadership.
3,000+ users and 40 countries supported by a sub 30-person organisation with outsourced L2/L3, holding availability and SLA attainment above 99% and satisfaction above 95%.
