Josh Spivak

Josh is the Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Highlight Health. He founded Highlight Health in 2020 with Brian Strauss. As CCO, Josh ensures that the organization's clients receive first-rate guidance, helping them act as prudent fiduciaries and reduce their health plan costs.

Josh has over 30 years of industry experience, where he has fostered his knowledge base and reputation as an insurance, benefits, and healthcare expert. He has a passion for serving self-funded health plans, their participants, and their partners (such as third-party administrators). He has made important contributions toward a more rational and transparently priced healthcare system.

As a pioneer in Insurtech and Fintech, Josh previously drove progress in insurance distribution through ventures like BenefitVault and his consulting firm, NextGEN Benefit Advisors. In 1996, he founded Benefit Associates (BAI) – a nationally recognized, top-tier voluntary benefits brokerage, consulting, and enrollment firm.

Additionally, Josh has participated in advisory boards of insurance carriers and services. He provides guidance to a wide range of insurance companies, benefit service organizations, and corporations about the nuances and challenges of the benefits industry.
