My professional life has been focused on improving patient safety and risk management process for the inpatient and out care settings through education, identification through data analytics, implementation, and monitoring of patient safety and risk management concepts. I have also worked to develop creative risk financing strategies for transfer of risk. Prior to my current position, I worked as Risk Management and Claims Coordinator for Saint Peters Healthcare, New Brunswick, New Jersey, Aversity Hospital in Philadelphia, the Director of Risk Management at VHA, a Risk Management Consultant with Princeton Insurance Company and a Quality/Risk Manager at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. I have an Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration of Justice from Rutgers University, a certificate in Public Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Masters of Science Degree in Risk Management and Insurance from Florida State University. I have maintained my license as an Insurance Producer for New Jersey for the past 20 years. In addition, I have obtained the esignation of Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) from the American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers. I have over 30 years experience and knowledge in healthcare risk management, patient safety, physician practice, and insurance program management including captives. I am an active member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM), Society for Health Care Risk Managers in New Jersey as past president and chair of sponsorship.
