"The Suitcase” is a short film created by Abi Corbin with a technical test led by the ETC Production in the Cloud Working Group. One of the key components of this project is to examine the process of production upstream authoritative metadata extraction so that it does not have to be recreated downstream. As part of the ETC Project Cloud initiative, “The Suitcase” project is evaluating network-based workflows with a focus on metadata for motion pictures. The mission of the project is to explore changing technology in narrative form on a studio project. For the components of “The Suitcase” project that focused on managing production metadata, the key participants are a major motion picture studio, Avalanche, and MarkLogic.
