Education, Early Years & Play Advocate | Founder | C-Suite Adviser | Philanthropy Adviser | Non Executive Director | Trustee
Twickenham, England, United Kingdom
As a trusted, board-level senior advisor, trustee, and non-executive director, my 30-year career spans diverse roles in strategic communications, advocacy, corporate affairs, social impact, education and international development. I specialise in enabling senior leaders to amplify their impact on society, the environment, and profit. I am particularly passionate about the intersection of education, the climate crisis, and philanthropy, bringing a wealth of experience in these areas to drive meaningful and sustainable change.
In my global career, I’ve held senior leadership positions with organisations like IBM, CIFF, Pearson, WPP, and The Coca-Cola Company, focusing on measurable, scalable, and sustainable social impact through effective communication, engagement, and partnership. My last executive leadership role was with the LEGO Foundation, leading advocacy, partner engagement, and external communications.
Currently, I serve as a Non-Executive Director/Trustee on the boards of STIR Education, Home-Start UK, Svitlo Education, and am Vice Chair of Play England. Previously I have sat on the boards of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), Street Kids International UK, Playground Ideas and the Tutu Foundation UK.
As a trusted expert advisor, I run my own advisory company, KW Strategy, and have advised senior leaders in organisations such as HundrED, Volvo Cars, IKEA Foundation, Federer Foundation, Luis Von ahn Foundation Cambridge University's Partnership for Education and Street Child. I write regularly for the Diplomatic Courier and am a member of the World In 2050 Expert Network.
Past advisory roles include serving as Coca-Cola’s liaison delegate to the WBCSD, advising the Clinton Global Initiative’s Education Working Group, advising DFID’s Girls Education Challenge Fund and sitting on the steering committee of the Real Play Coalition.
I am deeply passionate about early childhood development, transforming education systems, skills, and learning through play, focusing on creating lasting impact for children and the planet.
