    Mar 2017 - Current (9 years 4 months)
Delos is the catastrophe insurance provider of the future. Our AI wildfire risk models (patent-pending) are created by world-leading wildfire science professors on the Delos team and are vastly outperforming the rest of the industry. We use these models to take advantage of the industry's lack of sophistication-- Delos writes insurance for the millions of low-risk homes that the insurance industry mis-categorizes as high risk. Delos also leverages their analytics into a real-time risk mitigation service that helps homeowners protect themselves from a world of increasing catastrophes.

    Feb 2014 - Mar 2015 (1 year 2 months)
As a part of the business development group, I had different responsibilities depending on the type of sale. For small satellite proposals, I managed the proposal and handled prospective customer interaction to their business, sales, and engineering teams. For large satellites, I was the systems engineer in charge of the bus design. I handled Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, and research projects. I was involved with blank page new bus designs as well as subsystem and unit development. And I reviewed customer requirements and contracts, then translated them to a satellite design and factory requirements.

I was the systems engineer on the first two programs to use a next generation bus. I flowed requirements from the customer to the subsystems, coordinated analysis of environmental conditions of the new spacecraft, developed alignment strategies, managed schedule, oversaw design development, oversaw qualification of new technologies, managed failures that occured during manufacturing and test.

    LMRST-Sat: A small, high value-to-cost mission
    IEEE Aerospace Conference Proceedings
    Apr 2010
The Communications, Tracking, and Radar Division at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and the Space and Systems Development Lab (SSDL) at Stanford University are collaborating to fly a nanosat-class mission for costs usually associated with small technology development tasks, a few S100K. The mission hosts a JPLdeveloped Low Mass Radio Science Transponder (LMRST) on a university-class CubeSat bus as a satellite that occupies a total volume of two liters plus deployable antennas. In low earth orbit, the LMRST payload will provide a far-field source for calibration of Deep Space Network X-Band equipment in the form of an integer turnaround X-Band transponder with support for ranging modulation. The CubeSat bus provided by SSDL supplies p
