  • cPacket
    Lead R&D Hardware engineer
    cPacket
    Dec 2003 - Jan 2008 (4 years 2 months)
First FT hire at cpacket. Prototyped and productized a high speed packet filtering technology. As the lead HW engineer I was responsible for implementing the hardware design on an FPGA. We were able to release our first fully functioning design within 6 months. This design was capable of deterministic bidirectional gigabit stateful deep packet inspection. We then took this design and successfully implemented a custom ASIC that was able to exceed bi-directional 10-gigabit packet inspection. (20+ gigabit aggregate) This architecture also scaled linearly with the number of "cores" we placed on the die.
  • Intel
    Hardware Engineering Intern
    Intel
    Jun 2002 - Aug 2002 (3 months)
Worked in CPU library group where I spent the summer optimizing boolean gate design and transistor sizing to optimize speed and reduce power consumption. I created a circuit simulation tool to test all possible input transitions. Simulation tool was used by additional teams for circuit optimization.
  • I
    Electrical Engineer
    IC Mechanics
    May 2001 - Dec 2003 (2 years 8 months)
First full time hire at IC Mechanics. IC Mechanics was a pioneer in the MEMS sensor industry. I worked on a variety of projects from creating the first characterization designs to production line test equipment. Created parameterized software application to automatically create layout of MEMS sensors.
  • C
    Researcher Assistant
Carnegie Mellon University center for Micro Electrical Mechanical Systems
    May 2000 - May 2001 (1 year 1 month)
I worked as a research assistant in the MEMS research group in the Engineering school. I worked on several projects including creating an online web tutorial and a matlab program to perform interferometry of images to calculate microscopic measurements.
