I'm building Handoff — a portable handover protocol for SEO. Brands lose 20–40% of organic traffic every time they switch agencies because there's no standard for transferring assets, decisions, and context. After 16 years across all sides of this problem, I'm fixing it.The career path:• 2010–2017 — SEO specialist, then senior, in Russian agencies. Saw the structural problem: agencies sell promises they can't honor.• 2018–2022 — founded SEO as is, my own boutique SEO agency. 40+ client projects, average client lifetime 2.5 years vs industry ~12 months. Closed it because the agency business model is broken: no native sales engine, lock-in incentives misaligned with client outcomes.• 2021–2024 — in-house at major brands: Brand & Product Marketing at LG Electronics RUS (consumer electronics catalog, organic traffic ~3x over 14 months), then Head of Content at Zvuk, the Sber-owned music streaming service (built SEO function from zero, top-3 rankings for 200+ commercial keywords, 346% reduction in user acquisition cost via organic search).• 2025–present — Head of Marketing at Centershot. In parallel, building Handoff full-time.Why I'm the right person to build this: I've been the agency, I've been the brand, I've founded an agency and closed it. That triple-perspective produces the deepest insight of my career — agencies don't dictate strategy because they know better; they dictate because they can't honestly guarantee results, so the lock-in IS the business model. My non-obvious belief: the future is agencies that integrate into brand strategy as collaborators with measurable outcomes, not vendors selling expensive promises. They need infrastructure to do that. That's Handoff.Currently: applying to a16z Speedrun SR007. Looking for design partners (mid-market e-commerce $5–50M GMV, B2B SaaS $1–20M ARR brands).
