Syncrod: An Energy-Minimization Method for Distributed File Synchronization Algorithms on Mobile Devices
nd International Conference on Pervasive and Embedded Computing and Communication Systems PECCS
      Feb 2012
The paper presents a formal model for describing mobile file synchronization energy consumption, and an example of fitting a general file synchronization algorithm to the provided model. Empirical results of running an energy optimization on a general file synchronization algorithm are shown to provide rapid file transfer while using near 0.003% of a standard smartphone battery energy per MB.
