Margret Trilli

Margret draws on more than 25 years of investment and business building experience to evaluate investment opportunities in private markets, including PE/VC funds and direct investments. Currently she is CEO and Chief Investment Officer at ImpactAssets, a non-profit impact investing firm that specializes in private placements in climate, equity and poverty alleviation. Margret’s investment experience spans public and private equities and alternative assets: direct venture capital, direct private equity, international equities, currency hedging and fund portfolios. Sector expertise includes climate finance, alternative energy, sustainable food/ag, natural resources, fintech, big data and commercial real estate. She also draws on 20 years of operating experience to advise and serve on the board of portfolio companies and operating businesses. Margret is a seasonal Lecturer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where she co-teaches coursework on Impact Investing, Investment Strategy and VC/Private Equity Due Diligence. She leads multiple programs on the education of the rising generation, covering fluency in investments, finance and VC investing. Margret is passionate about working with investors to align their wealth with purpose. She is personally passionate about climate solutions, specifically using data and technology to solve the challenges in renewable energy, energy efficiency, regenerative agriculture, food system innovation, GHG upcycling and health and wellness.
