Head of Engineering – Momentum
Brussels, Belgium
I’m a hacker and builder based in Brussels.
In the 1990s, I discovered computers and web development and became certain the Internet would shape the future.
In the 2000s, I aligned with the free and open-source software movement, which not only shaped my career but also inspired my perspective on how software can transform society.
In the 2010s, I honed my craft, building a wide range of websites and digital services for companies, organisations, and personal projects, delighting in every stage of the process.
In the 2020s, I’m focused on leading teams and shaping systems that address the deeper implications of software in a fully automated society – a future that may arrive sooner than we expect.
Beyond my core work, I’ve founded a film production company, helped build Firefox, taught software engineering to physics students, started a book publishing house, run a nightclub, written a master’s thesis on cyborgs, headed an agency for effective altruists, played in bands, and generally explored art, media, and culture in many forms.
I like techno, spa, and horror movies.
